What is Spindle Bobbin Crash Protection?
Extending beyond the driveline side, the nylon bobbin head and aluminum centralizing spacer protects the rear of the Cardan drive shaft casing, hub and wheel. Made from injection-molded nylon, the bobbin head sits upon an aluminum centralizing spacer and rotates with the wheel to minimize impact damage on one area and reduce stress on the wheel. A machined and coated aluminum hub stop on the non-drive side complements the BMW's stylish design.
