What is Spindle Bobbin Crash Protection?
Projecting from the driveline side of the BMW R 1300 GS Triple Black (2024+), the nylon bobbin head and aluminum centralizing spacer protects the rear of the Cardan drive shaft casing, hub and wheel. Made from injection-molded nylon, the bobbin head sits above an aluminum centralizing spacer and revolves with the wheel to minimize impact damage on one area and reduce stress on the wheel. A machined and coated aluminum hub stop on the non-drive side complements the GS' stylish design.
