Vooral bij krachtige motoren, intensief circuitgebruik, veelvuldig gebruik van de koppeling of zware offroad belasting kunnen duidelijke inslagen in de vingers van de korf ontstaan. Een versleten koppelingskorf kan de beweging van de platen belemmeren en daarmee de werking van de complete koppeling beïnvloeden.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eSymptomen van een versleten koppelingskorf\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSlijtage aan de koppelingskorf is vaak zichtbaar als groeven of inkepingen op de plaatsen waar de frictieplaten contact maken met de korf. Wanneer de nokken van de platen in deze groeven blijven hangen, kunnen de koppelingsplaten niet meer volledig vrij bewegen.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDit kan zich uiten in een koppeling die schokkerig aangrijpt, moeilijk doseerbaar is of niet volledig ontkoppelt. Ook kan de motor met ingetrokken koppeling naar voren willen kruipen, kan het lastiger worden om de neutraalstand te selecteren of kan schakelen onrustiger aanvoelen. Deze klachten kunnen echter ook door andere onderdelen worden veroorzaakt, zoals versleten koppelingsplaten, kromme stalen platen, verkeerde kabelafstelling, vervuilde olie of problemen met de hydraulische bediening.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eControleer daarom altijd het complete koppelingssysteem voordat je alleen de koppelingskorf vervangt.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eStandaard vervanging of performance koppelingskorf\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEen standaard vervangende koppelingskorf is bedoeld om de oorspronkelijke werking van de koppeling te herstellen. Hierbij zijn een correcte maatvoering, passende lagering en de juiste aansluiting op de primaire aandrijving essentieel.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePerformance koppelingskorven worden vaak geproduceerd uit hoogwaardig aluminium en nauwkeurig CNC-gefreesd. Afhankelijk van het ontwerp kan een hard geanodiseerde oppervlaktebehandeling worden toegepast om slijtage aan de geleiders te beperken. Sommige uitvoeringen zijn sterker of lichter dan de originele korf, waardoor ze beter bestand kunnen zijn tegen zware belasting en snelle lastwisselingen.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEen lager gewicht kan de roterende massa in het motorblok verminderen, maar het werkelijke verschil in gasrespons en motorkarakter hangt sterk af van de constructie van de complete koppeling. Kies een performance koppelingskorf daarom vooral op basis van duurzaamheid, maatvastheid en geschiktheid voor de toepassing, en niet alleen op basis van een theoretische gewichtsbesparing.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eKoppelingskorf, binnennaaf en drukplaat\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDe koppelingskorf wordt regelmatig verward met andere onderdelen van de koppeling.
