Een nieuw voortandwiel op een sterk versleten ketting kan snel opnieuw inslijten.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eDe eindoverbrenging aanpassen\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEen kleiner voortandwiel maakt de eindoverbrenging korter. De motor maakt dan bij dezelfde snelheid meer toeren en reageert doorgaans directer tijdens accelereren.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEen groter voortandwiel maakt de verhouding langer. Dit kan het toerental bij kruissnelheid verlagen, maar vermindert ook de mechanische vermenigvuldiging van het motorkoppel.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEen zeer klein voortandwiel laat de ketting scherper om het tandwiel buigen en kan daardoor de belasting en slijtage verhogen. Een aangepaste verhouding wordt daarom vaak liever via het achtertandwiel gerealiseerd.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eSnelheidsmeter en elektronische systemen\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBij motoren die het snelheidssignaal via de versnellingsbak meten, kan een andere eindoverbrenging de weergegeven snelheid en kilometerstand beïnvloeden.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBij systemen die de snelheid rechtstreeks aan het wiel of via ABS-sensoren meten, hoeft dit effect niet op te treden. Controleer de werking van jouw specifieke motor.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eBorging en montage\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eControleer de voortandwielmoer, borgring, borgplaat en afstandsbussen op beschadiging.
