The biggest weakness of a dry clutch is its limited lifetime, both of the clutch plates as well as the clutch basket. The EVR 48-tooth clutch kit is the answer to problems: the sintered clutch plates are of a higher quality than the OEM plates, while the 48-tooth design prevents excessive wear and tear of both.
A Ducati is supposed to have the distinctive sound of a dry clutch, adding the track-bred origins of this sporty manufacturer, but the bike isn't supposed to sound like it's about to fall apart. A worn-out clutch gives the feeling that the bike is broken, where the EVR clutch kit ensures that you have the impressive dry clutch sound, with the annoying sound of a broken clutch.
Five reasons to buy an EVR 48-tooth clutch:
- Less wear and tear to the clutch basket and plates
- Smoother clutch engagement
- Longer lifetime of the clutch plates
- Dry clutch sound without sounding annoying
- Same price as the OEM kit, with better results. Great bang-for-your buck.
This is the CDU-220, for the other EVR clutch plate kits, see the following links:
This kit is specifically designed for Ducati bikes with a dry clutch and a slipper clutch. Due to the changed shape of the centre, it is generally recommended and in most cases necessary to assemble a thinner plate kit in order for the slipper clutch to function correctly.
