CNC Racing has reinvented the slipperclutch. Classical slipperclutches have always used either the Ramp-Up or Ball Clutch system, where either two ramps move against eachother, or a ball is used for less friction. Some with a spider spring, others without. The disadvantage of these systems is that they are limited in adjustability, high in maintenance and lack sophistication.
Innovative Design
Leave it to CNC Racing to come up with clever innovations. They have taken a good look at the Slipperclutch concept and reinvented it, with a modern and clever new design. In this new design the ramps are in the clutch core, but the top plate is the only part that moves.
Thus the drag from the clutch plates is eliminated, resulting in crisp clutch reaction upon deceleration.
Decoupling is done through a ramp and ball, which is low in friction and low in maintenance. As a result the clutch reaction is smooth and fast, and easily adjusted by either swapping the ramps or changing the springs.
K.I.S.S.
Everything that moves influences response, either through inertia or friction. CNC Racing embraced the K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple, Stupid) principle: in this kit it's not the whole core moving up and down, but only the clutch pressure plate itself. This means less friction from the clutch plates, less wear and tear internally, and crisp slipperclutch functionality.
Adjustable and Personal
Each clutch is built to specification. The ramps are picked according to the wishes and needs of the rider, to ensure that you get a clutch that fits you. All parts are sold separately, so you can always vary if needs be.
