Clutch Slave Cylinder 'Carbon'
Mechanical quality is one, but styling is important for your Italian Bella. The subtle engraving and sporty carbon insert are a beautiful addition to your Ducati, as an added bonus on top of the lighter clutch effort.
CNC Racing has grown its business from their clutch slave cylinders. They are unrivalled in their combination of mechanical excellence. Depending on the model, these clutch slave cylinders offer a 30% to 40% lower clutch effort, and bleeding the slave cylinder is easy and quickly done.
The kit fits all Ducati's with external slave cylinder except for the Panigale. For pre-2000 Monsters a spacer is supplied.
The slave cylinder is milled from solid aluminium and hard-anodized, for a long-lasting colour. Available in red, black, gold and titanium, with a choice of 26mm, 28mm and 30mm diameters.
We strongly recommend not the install the 30mm variant on 900 and 916 engines (such as the Monster 900, the 748/916, SuperSport 750/900 pre-2000, etc.) as they can have problems with clutch engagement if the clutch is already a bit worn, the 28mm will do just fine on those models.
The part is a direct replacement for the OEM part, installation is very simple:
Squeeze the brake lever as close to the hand grip as you can and secure it with a tie-wrap, to prevent brake fluid from spilling from the reservoir. Make sure to catch any brake fluid that comes from the system when removing the kit. Loosen and remove all bolts securing the OEM clutch slave cylinder to the engine, as well as the banjo bolt securing the fluid line to the slave cylinder.
Pour some brake fluid into the CNC Racing clutch slave cylinder up to the lowest part of the thread. Now install the fluid line and banjo bolt, preferably with new copper washers. Remove the tie-wrap from the brake lever, and bleed the whole systeem.
NOTA BENE: only use Dot 4 brake fluid. Make sure you work in a clean environment, and take care to follow the procedure.
Brake fluid is very aggressive, avoid brake fluid from coming into contact with any parts of your body, and of the bike. Brake fluid can be flushed from the surface of your motorcycle with plenty water.
