EVR Edo Vigna Racing
EVR (Edo Vigna Racing) adds technical improvements to your motorcycle. Edo was originally the technician of Galtiero Giacob, whom we know as the owner of G&G Bike, and has strived all his life to improve technical products for engines.
Edo is the inventor of the slipperclutch for motorcycles, he introduced the first slip coupling for Ducati in 1994 and thus made name and fame worldwide. Where the series started with slippers for the 748-916-996-998 series (with which Ducati Corse rode at the time), that range of Constant has been expanded and there are now also links available for, for example, the Triumph Daytona and the BMW S1000RR.
One of the most important results of EDO's striving for technical perfection is the 48-Tand's coupling set for Ducati's with dry clutch. With these couplings, the plates hit the basket because they are not inhibited in their movement by an oil bath, as is the case with a wet coupling. The result is that both the basket and the plates have to be replaced after 15-30,000 kilometers (depending on use).
The original 12-tands coupling basket and plates cost around € 400, and for the same money you buy an EVR clutch plate set Plus coupling basket in 48-tooth version.
The big advantage of this kit is that the forces are better distributed, over 48 teeth instead of 12. As a result, both the basket and the plates last longer, which saves money and annoyance in the (medium) long -term. The kits can be supplied completely (basket, steel plates and lined plates), or as a kit with only the plates.
The 48-tand set naturally retains the characteristic sound of a dry clutch, but in a more civilized form.
These sets can of course be used with the original coupling basket, and we also have sets available for use with a slipper coupling. When in doubt, contact us, we always like to help and professionally.
If we stay with the couplings, rattling the coupling is one of the first things that stands out. Characteristic for Ducati, but it should not be too too.
EVR Anti-Clank printing plates reduce the rattling of the coupling to an acceptable level, so that you can continue to enjoy the sound without the comments from other motorcyclists.
The printing plate is equipped with slots, which in collaboration with the top plate provide extra pressure in the clutch, so that it is better cooled and blown clean. A small adjustment, with big results.
With a choice of a black, red, gold or titanium -colored basic plate and black, red, gold or titanium -colored top plate, a nice printing plate for your coupling can be put together for every taste.
If you go one step further, you can also go to EVR for Carbon Airbox. These let significantly more air through, so that (much) more results can be achieved with heavy tuning. The advantage of this set about loose air filters is that when an EVR Air Filter box is the air inlet, the air inlet is still protected against dirt and water, to a much higher extent than this is the case with the use of loose set -up filters.
