One of the manifestations of this is the fact that the EVR does not move the entire inner basket, but only the upper pressure plate, which ensures less wear and more control. The latter means there is less spinning mass in play. The clutch requires no adjustment and reduces clutch plate wear compared to other slipper clutches.
Due to its low weight, the aluminum EVR slipper clutch ensures lower rotating mass in the block, resulting in faster RPMs and therefore a faster engine.
This linkage allows for less stress on the chain and less jerkiness, resulting in a long lasting design.
