Road vs. Racing filters

• Road motor filters: Designed for long -term use and simple maintenance needs. Only one maintenance service per year is sufficient, regardless of the number of kilometers driven. Even if you have only driven 50 miles, it remains important to keep the filters well oiled to prevent dehydration.
• Racing filters: Especially for the track, with an open foam structure for maximum performance. Although they offer the same protection as the road filters, they require more intensive maintenance - namely after every two racing weekends. That is why racing filters are not suitable for road use.

NB: In warm, humid climates (for example around the equator) we recommend raising the maintenance frequency for road filters to twice a year.

Maintenance tips:
Only use MWR biodegradable filter oil and cleaner. These protect your filters not only against dirt, but also against Backfire, for a long service life and top performance.
