What does an EP Radiator Guard deliver?

The EP guard protects the KTM 1090 Adventure R radiator from damage that can arise from road and off-road debris (stones, mud, dropped waste etc) being thrown up by the front tyre or other traffic. At the same time, the EP guard has been designed to allow air to pass through to the radiator to maintain the optimum engine temperature. The radiator’s thin, soft aluminium cooling fins can, without a guard in place, easily bend - misaligned fins can restrict cooling air, which can lead to overheating. The radiator’s internal core is prone to being holed by stones. This will lead to leaking coolant quickly followed by rapid overheating and a high possibility of engine damage.
